The Little Acorn are a family run business that specialises in a 'One Stop Interior Design Service' We can source that piece of furniture you've been looking for!! or Maybe you already have a piece that just doesnt fit anymore .. Unloved or New.. For about 18 years we have been creating pieces of bespoke furniture for ourselves, family and friends, as well as upholstering bits and pieces and making curtains and soft furnishings for our homes over the years .. So we decided to Create a business that would pass our passion onto other people.
We have been up and running as 'The Little Acorn' since September 2014 and have really floruished since our opening with our high quality and well sourced pieces in high demand.
We consider ourselves to be very fortunate and to love the job that we do, making your Home a delightful relaxing space filled with gorgeous Country Style pieces. Great pride is taken in creating our furniture and much satisfaction in receiving the fantastic Feedback from our Customers, many of whom return to buy further pieces.
We consider ourselves to be helpful and friendly people here at The Little Acorn; we always try to accommodate the needs of our Customers from the preparation to the final product.
All our Furniture items are Hand Painted using specialist Furniture Paints by Annie Sloan, which involves many hours of work, from the preparation to the finished article to achieve the traditional Shabby Chic, French Country or Retro Style. None of our furniture is spray painted, as this gives a mass manufactured look that doesnt suit this style of decor. It is then Waxed using a quality soft clear Wax and buffed to a soft sheen finish for the highest possible quality.
